    Brooklyn Tweed Loft

    , ,
    100% wool fingering 250m / 50g 24-28-32 sts = 10 cm on needle sizes 3.5-2.75-2 mm
Like Shelter, Loft is a woolen-spun 2-ply yarn with delicate twist, especially designed for unique lightness of hand. It’s not a sock yarn, so treat it a little more gently when it’s on the winder and the needles. Once your garment is blocked, the stitches will cohere in a beautifully even and sturdy fabric.
Loft has great flexibility of gauge; it can be knit on 2mm (US 0) needles for a dense and durable fabric or on 4mm (US 6) needles for ethereal open work. Two strands of Loft held together can substitute for Shelter in patterns where you’d like greater stitch definition or a marled fabric of two colors.

Finch is a little sprite, a fingering-weight with the slightest of halos. It's soft to the touch, yet its neatly twisted plies give it a smooth, tailored finish thats sturdy and hardwearing. It's perfectly balanced for an even stockinette stitch, and youll love how it shows off texture and lace patterns. Perfect for Fair Isle, too.

  • Quince & Co Tern

    , , ,
    75% wool / 25% seda tussah fingering weight 202 m / 50 g 36 sts / 10 cm on 2.25 mm needles 28 sus / 10 cm on de 3.25 mm needles
Soft and skinny is our wispy Tern, a blend of wool and tussah silk. The yarn´s muted palette -think vintage painted photographs- result from the way in which the different fibers absorb dye. The wool portion colors thoroughly, but the silk is barely tinted. It´s good for socks, scarves, mitts, hats and any sweater that loves a little drape.
  • The Uncommon Thread Merino Silk

    , , ,
    50% superwash merino / 50 % seda mulberry 100g / 400 m fingering hand dyed
Super soft, shiny and drapey this yarn can be worn right next to the skin. It’s very versatile and can be used for garments, shawls and baby items alike! Pure luxury. Although hand-washing to prolong the life of your knits is recommended, this yarn may be machine washed on a gentle wool cycle, then laid flat to dry. Alternate skeins every two rows if using more than one is highly recommended for an even result.
